AiGTS and EEAGTS Merger

July 1, 2009 marks an important and historic day for the Engineering Employers Association Group Training Scheme (EEAGTS) and Australian Industry Group Training Services (AiGTS).

From 1 July, the two group training organisations have amalgamated following the merger of the Engineering Employers Association South Australia (EEASA) with the Australian Industry Group (Ai Group) which also took effect on this date.

This is a strong and positive move for industry in South Australia, and nationally, and brings together two leading organisations working for a common cause of advancing Australian industry.

The combined group training company is currently responsible for recruiting and placing close to 700 skilled workers in member companies across the country. All members will have access to a larger and more diverse pool of apprentices and trainees to be placed in hosted companies.

The merger will particularly benefit national companies looking to put training programs in place across multiple plants. AiGTS is now operating across six states and this allows companies who are in more than one state to have a single point of contact for business efficiency. This will provide a more consistent level of training for all members.
